Sometimes I feel like these weekly updates are too much, but they just reflect the anticipation over this little man, are part of the pregnancy, and besides, I did it for the other two :)
So where are we this week at 38.5 weeks? For once I didn’t gain weight (I’ve gained more this time, I think, thanks to some intense cravings for junk that have since subsided.) and I had to assure Dr. Million that I am eating. Joshua’s heart rate was good and strong and all other parameters were normal. I did get the second of my two pregnancy vaccines, flu last week and TdAP this week. No fun!
After a couple days last week of so much activity, contractions, a shifting baby, and pain that made me think I may deliver at any moment, things have settled down a bit. Joshua is now in that position at the end of pregnancy, it seems, where babies seem awful quiet in there (too smushed to move?) and you almost worry for their well being. I’ve had this stage with all three and I tend to feel better and get a breather before the big day. Dr. Million checked me and I’m nearly 4 cm and 70%, so I’m probably not too close. Knowing my history, she wasn’t too excited and neither was I, but you never know! I need a bit more time anyway, so all is well.

How did I miss the fact that you're pregnant?! Congratulations and how exciting! I'll be praying as the big day approaches.
