Our beautiful baby girl is one whole year old! It’s bewildering that she’s already reached this mark, but she’s the most wonderful little girl and she is SO loved. She’s growing up quickly and gives us so many reasons to smile.
Well, the BEST news is….Hannah has been consistently sleeping through the night! I’m not sure why and we didn’t do anything different, but she’s doing it. We’ve been here off and on a few times throughout the year, so let’s hope it sticks this time.
As far as development goes, Hannah is working on two more teeth for a total of 6. She’ll soon have 4 teeth on top to compliment the two cute ones on the bottom. She’s also cruising a little on furniture and walking around slowly behind her push toy on occasion, but overall, she doesn’t seem too enthused about walking. She will sometimes walk on wobbly legs while Jacob holds her hands, but she doesn’t do it for me.

Hannah can say a few words, such as uh oh, Da Da, hi, and thank you. She also consistently says some repeatable sounds for her brothers and the cat. She definitely seems to care more about communication than physical feats.
Save your knees! Get up and walk, Baby Girl!
Unfortunately, we still struggle with consistent eye infections and are facing a surgical procedure around 15-18 months to correct the blocked duct. I look forward to looking at her beautiful face free of moisture and infection surrounding her eye.
Her eye is looking pretty good on the day of her birthday party. Doesn’t she look so sweet and innocent? Bill had bought this chair for her at an antique store and she LOVES it!
Hannah still isn’t a fan of baby food and much prefers to have what we are eating. Like Joshua, she’s a fan of ham and cheese, but her favorite, by far, is spaghetti! Every time she eats it it is a picture worthy affair :)
Our little GIRL is such a bright spot in our lives. Each one of us, the boys included, love her dearly. Hannah’s smiles are like little rewards that we all try to earn. Josiah, in particular, is very enamored. We are sad that our little baby is growing up but at the same time we look forward to seeing her blossom.
