Pediatrician Visit At 2.5 Years

Elijah had his wellness visit earlier this week and other than a few minor dermatology issues, he is a healthy little man!  I’m not entirely sure why he did it, but he dragged his feet and objected to going into the exam room where there were two nurses waiting for him to do their measurements and history taking.  He started out screaming and never stopped the whole time I tried to pry his clothes off of him and put him through the motions.  Not fun!  Thankfully he calmed down and was happy for Dr. Worthington.

Elijah was 27 lb 5 oz (20%), which is a little low following some illnesses, 36.5 inches tall (55%), and 48.5cm in head circumference (35%).  He lucked out with not needing any vaccines.

We decided to do an experiment with Elijah.  He’s back on antacids now, as he was as an infant.  He’s always randomly woken up screaming for no apparent reason and seems tense and difficult to calm.  He also vomits and regurgitates extremely easily along with having a poor appetite, so we’re doing a little trial to see if he does better back on his meds.  As his mother and a vet, I’m very interested to see how it pans out because I often see dogs with similar symptoms completely turn around with the help of Pepcid :)

Oh Abby I have been talking to so many people in the GI field (a couple of moms out here have been helpful too). I have a couple questions - call me sometime and let me spill what I have heard to see if you are interested in it. Pray this works and all is well though of course!
