This weekend we went down to Jacob’s parent’s house for a “Mothers and Others” banquet at his sister’s church. Most of the women from that side of the family attended while the men stayed home and babysat. It was a good time.
We had a nice time visiting with family and Josiah did well for his first night away from home. On the way home we had quick visits with my dad, grandparents, and my brother and his family.
Here are some pictures from the weekend:
Me, Carla, and Brenda at the "Mothers and Others Banquet"
Me and Kelli
The beautiful table Carla decorated for us. Apparently the table decorating is an unspoken competition every year. She did a really good job.
Josiah is already captivated by his Dandy.
Josiah was the center of attention much of the time.
Josiah's scratching his head trying to figure out how he ended up being our kid!

I keep trying for that perfect picture that captures that perfect smile, but he always blurs it by wiggling and I'm not quick enough to get the full fledged smile. Oh well, he's still cute!
Jacob found a baby scale in his parents garage and decided to weigh Josiah. The tomato box he is in is from Whisenant Farms, the farm that Jacob grew up on. Jacob says he's between 11 and 14 pounds. Hmmm...maybe we'll get a more accurate reading at the doctor tomorrow.
