Thanks for the honest comments, guys. Pleople act like the weight just melts off when you are nursing a baby and that you should be in your jeans in 2 weeks!
Anyway...GOOD NEWS! Josiah slept 8 hours last night! HOORAY! I've been thinking he needed to move from his bassinet in our room to his crib, but have been dreading it since I didn't want to listen to the annoying monitor or walk to the other end of the house to feed him or do whatever he needed in the middle of the night. But I kept wondering if we were waking each other up and thats why he didn't sleep through the night yet. Unfortunately we made a few changes last night, so I'm not sure which had the biggest impact, but I'm betting it was the crib. We also kept him up later and gave him a bath right before feeding him and putting him to bed. (Usually he gets one in the morning.)
At any rate, yours truly was even less rested this morning because I woke up at 2 am and lay awake wondering if I would have to get up soon. Then at 4 am I woke up again and was so excited that I hadn't gotten up yet that I couldn't sleep until he did finally wake up at 6 am. Hopefully he'll do a repeat tonight and I'll relax enough to enjoy it. I haven't had a good night's sleep since I was about 7 months pregnant. I hate being a light sleeper!
I'll keep everyone posted as to whether or not sleeping through the night becomes a habit.
Oh, and my sweet cat, Lilah, watched over him in the nursery. She came to greet me when he did finally cry to eat, just to make sure I was coming. She's such a good babysitter. She's finally learned an ok cry from one that needs attention.

You are too funny, I totally remember that experience of waking up only to find baby still sleeping and then thinking oh won't bee too much longer, then drift off & wake back up so excited that he is still sleeping that you yourself can't sleep b/c want to tell the world!
Ah, the joys of motherhood!
Hope he continues sleeping well through night for you! Looking forward to seeing you Friday!
Yay! What an exciting milestone! I hope he keeps it up! Don't be discouraged if it doesn't happen tonight though, at least know you know it's possible!
