Jacob was patient and wonderful enough to take some maternity photos of me with the boys at 36 weeks. We’ve done it with my Uncle for the last two pregnancies and I wasn’t going to do it again because a pregnant belly is a pregnant belly, right? But then I got to thinking that Elijah would be in these and that would be special, so we decided to do some simple ones ourselves. The one picture I really wanted was with the boys’ hands on my belly while they kiss it at the same time. Sounds idyllic, I know, but they actually do it unprovoked multiple times a day. It is so sweet and I wanted to capture it. I imagined two sets of puckered lips touching my belly at the same time with faces and belly visible. However, actually succeeding in coordinating the movements of two rambunctious boys to get just what I envisioned proved impossible. You’ll see the attempts scattered throughout :)
Oh, and there are way more pictures with Josiah or of him alone, but that’s not because he’s a favorite, he’s just the more cooperative of the two!
Don’t you love the cooperation below? Elijah reminds me of a cowboy relaxing with his head on a rock or something :)I love having this front yard and there is nothing better than enjoying it with my beautiful family
Josiah trying to kiss me on the lips (we don’t do this). It is his newest obsession and sometimes he fools me and succeeds!
This sweet hug below turned into a hair messing attack with lots of giggles!
Elijah’s turn to try to get lip kisses. He’s recognized it as a game and, admittedly, I used it as a ploy to get pictures with him :)
Phase II with Jacob at about 38 weeks:
Jacob is jealous! He wishes he had abs like this.
The end. You know I have trouble narrowing down pictures :) Hopefully next we’ll have pictures of Joshua himself to post.

Cute! Great photography Jacob :) love your yard, your boys and your sweet belly. We don't do lip kisses with the kids either, glad we aren't alone.
These are lovely! You are just beautiful!!! And that maternity top in the last few photos is too cute. :) The boys look very excited to meet their new little brother. Many blessings for a wonderful delivery experience. Can't wait to see pictures of the new little guy!
Oh, my goodness, these are beautiful!! I don't know how you'll choose which ones to frame. So sweet.
