We joined our friends Mrs. Annie, Henry, Emalyn, Mrs. Jen, Luke, and Caleb for a fire house tour playdate. The trucks were awesome and the firemen were cool!
Showing us the “Jaws of Life”. Even though this is a powerful piece of equipment, I think the boys were mostly unimpressed compared to the truck itself.
Letting the boys feel how heavy the fire hose nozzle is. Josiah has it under control! Deda would be proud.
I love this picture and the friendships these boys have! Luke came dressed for the occasion and stole the show. His crazy personality had us all cracking up!
My sweet baby wants to be a tough fireman, but he’s no bigger than a tire!
Apparently firemen have an issue with kids being scared of them when they are dressed in full gear during emergencies so they take these opportunities to show kids what it would look like and tell them not to be scared. One of the men dressed in his suit and gave the boys high fives to build rapport before adding the head gear, then put it on…
Only the oldest boys were willing to approach him in full gear.
Afterwards we went to a park to play and eat pizza – an event Mommy didn’t take pictures of, but probably will not ever forget due to her parenting FAIL that Joshua endured there. We’ll keep that one a secret :)
