I am going to post a few things I’ve written in the past but never posted. This one is from nearly a year ago.
Josiah often tells me I’m pretty when I come out of my bedroom obviously dressed to go somewhere. I always find it endearing, but while getting ready for church Sunday morning, he surprised me in the closet where I was half dressed and said, “Mommy, you’re almost pretty.” I understand that he meant “almost fully dressed”, but it wasn’t what any half dressed girl wants to hear!
Then he proceeded to stick the cold carrot he was eating in my belly button as I pulled my shirt over my head :)
Can’t I just get a moment of peace???
