We recently got a wonderful surprise! My Mom and Bill stopped by last Sunday night after church (unfortunately after the boys were already in bed) with a Power Wheels Jeep! Jacob says it’s not a Jeep, but it kinda looks like one, it is easy to say, and Josiah likes Jeeps, so a Jeep it is. A boy named Will at our church had outgrown this beloved toy and they thought of us to give it to! Wasn’t that so nice?
Jacob wanted to see the boys enjoy it for the first time and since there was no way I was going to make them look at it sitting on the porch all day waiting for Daddy to come home, we got them up in the morning and let them ride it…in the drizzling rain. Josiah’s first word when he saw it was a hushed “whoa!”, followed by “can I ride it?”
I had some really cute video to post but it was long and when I tried to edit it, it kept separating the sound from the video, so I’ll have to work on that. In summary, it showed the first several minutes of them using it in which I chose to video rather than take pictures, so you can’t see Elijah’s continuously open mouthed awed gaze, Josiah learning to back up, and the real time fun of it all.
Anyway, I bet you can guess the favorite activity of the week! Josiah is a surprisingly good driver and navigates really well. I let him drive it on our daily walks down our little country road and he loves it. Recently, I was loving on him and telling him what a big boy he’s become and he fussed saying, “but I don’t want to be big because then I won’t fit in my Jeep!” Poor thing! He’d seen me try to get in it earlier in the day and knew that Will had given it to us because he’d outgrown it :)

how fun!!! The pics look great, are you liking your new camera? In one of the last pics of Elijah I thought he really looked like you, I hadn't noticed that before.. maybe thrown off by the red hair!
