At my 38 week OB appointment today she said I was 5 cm dilated and 80%, maybe 90% effaced! Yikes! How did that happen? So, while there is no predicting it for sure, it looks like it could be pretty soon which kind of has my mind running crazy trying to prioritize what needs to be done vs. what I just wanted to do. What I WANTED to do was go to bed at 8pm tonight, but I’m thinking my mind will be running to crazy to allow that and I might just get a bunch of stuff done. Other than packing our bags (yes, we were supposed to do that a couple weeks ago), there is nothing that HAS to be done, but life would certainly be easier when we come home if we check a few things off our list now. Oh well, it all works out in the end, I know.
On the flip side…we may get to meet our new little man soon! How exciting is that? Dr. Million asked me today (very seriously) if I had an epidural with Josiah. I didn’t really know where she was going with that question and figured it was just an FYI type question. When I said no, but that I was keeping my options open, she very seriously said “good, because you might not have time this time.” Hmmm…now, I’m not really a fan of the epidural, but I’m not dumb and I’d like to at least have the option to choose it! She says 5 cm itself is not too big a deal, but combined with 80-90% on a second baby may make things go quick. We’ll see!
Now if I can only make it through work tomorrow…
