I just had to take a minute to mention that there is nothing so sweet as to hold my baby right before nap time and have him take his thumb out of his mouth, touch my nose and lips, let out a precious baby giggle, then re-insert his thumb in his mouth as his eyes roll back with sleepiness. It makes me think that no matter what I am doing I have all the time in the world for him and that I have the best "job" I could possibly ask for.
The other day when I was holding him like this I looked in the mirror in his nursery and was amazed by how far his legs hung past my cradling arms. He's getting so big! I was reminded that I need to savor these moments while I can because it won't be long before these days are over.
