Boys And Flowers

I realize that typically it’s girls that get their pictures taken in flowers, but I have boys and this flower field near several of Jacob’s bee yards is just too good to pass up for a photo opp, so we loaded up and headed out to let our boys frolic in the flowers :)  They loved it!  It also posed a chance for me to get some maternity photos at 13 weeks, courtesy of Jacob.  Bear with me.  I find it next to impossible to narrow pictures of my boys down!

Always creative and resourceful, Daddy rigged a cute little swing for fun and great pictures.  Who could choose between these?:399 - Copy400 - Copy407 - Copy409 - Copy418 - Copy419 - Copy422 - Copy437 - Copy444 - Copy445 - Copy446 - Copy

Elijah’s not so good at posing, either.  We asked him to smile and the following were the result:450 - Copy452 - Copy453 - Copy454 - Copy455 - Copy470 - CopyI love this picture because his hero is right behind him.

16 Week Checkup

There are no ultrasound pictures to go along with this OB visit, but we had a good visit anyway.  We, meaning me and this little baby, as I’ve just decided it is easier to leave the boys behind at this point :)  They got to have fun with Daddy instead.  I was pretty nervous about this appointment because I felt Elijah move at 14 weeks with certainty and consistency, and while I think I may have felt a couple kicks here and there this time, I just haven’t been sure.  Sure enough, though, he/she seems just fine.  Heart rate was in the 130s to 140s which is the slowest of any of my babies (but still normal) which led Dr. Million to say maybe it is a nice peaceful girl.  She must have forgotten about that unofficial 12 week ultrasound that she did that showed something protruding between the babies legs!  You never know, though, and while Josiah finally accepted that it might be a boy, he’s reverted back to calling it “her” and “Valerie” :)  We’ll know for sure at our next visit, so stay tuned!
