Joshua has existed for 18 months now, 9 of which I’ve shared him with the outside world. It’s been a fun and very sweet 9 months and he’s transforming into such a rambunctious little man. He now eats like a pig, sleeps like a champ (mostly), moves like a gymnast, and smiles like a flirt!
Last month Joshua had just started pulling up but was unsteady about it. This month he’s a standing maniac, though he has yet to figure out how to cruise. I say he’s a gymnast because somehow he went from standing securely in his exersaucer to propelling himself out of it to sprawl on the floor. I’m still not sure how. His fine motor skills also improved and he’s now perfectly content to feed himself.
Laundry day and wearing big bro’s shirt.
Speaking of eating habits, he’s gotten to be really hungry and he’s willing to eat almost any baby food I offer and he does great with finger foods, too. Cheerios are his favorite and seeing the box makes him smile with anticipation.
First popsicle and he loved it! Don’t worry, it’s the healthy kind.
Joshua has yet to cut any teeth, but he’s maturing so quickly in so many other ways. He’s becoming one of the boys and as a result he has to endure some wrestling and chaos. Josiah and Elijah can’t help themselves and have to tickle him and bounce him around all the time. They definitely get the most belly laughs out of him.
The many faces of Joshua:
This green stuff is so tickly!
We love our little Joshy Poshy or Joshubug, as he has come to be known. His yet toothless grin leaves us no choice but to smile back. He’s become a pretty good sleeper and we’ve been enjoying that to the max. Our only complaint is his affinity for hair – my head hair and Jacob’s leg hair. It’s torture! Despite that, he’s a sweet little guy and we each adore him.
