Jacob ordered 5,000 frames and 1,200 sheets of foundation from California for his bee hives and they came to us in a semi. We (the boys) excitedly waited all afternoon for the semi truck to visit us and of course it didn’t arrive till dinner time right at dark. Oh well, the boys thought it was cool anyway, though it made for poor pictures. I brightened them as much as I could, so it was much darker than these pictures make it seem.
I couldn’t believe this semi made it under the trees and all the way down our bumpy, winding, dirt road. The driver was so nice and said it wasn’t a problem. I’m sure he was lying through his teeth!
