Independence Day!

We had lots of fun this year for the fourth of July.  We had planned to hit the streets of Alachua for fireworks, but when we found out UF offered them the day before we decided to try that to attempt to avoid the horrendous traffic in Alachua and be able to sleep in (Yeah right!  Not with kids) the next morning.  So, after work I picked up my already tired boys and met Jacob for dinner, who worked most of the previous night and was also tired.  Then we picked up some small fireworks and headed to UF to reserve a spot.

Here’s a tip…the commuter lot behind Hume Hall is a great place to view them and get out easily at the end, but going there WAY early is NOT necessary.  There is plenty of space.  Our boys enjoyed playing in and around the car while we waited, but that wore off well before dark.

Rather than individually apologizing for each blurry, terrible picture, I’ll apologize in advance and tell you we are in bad need of a new camera (and time to shop for it!).

The next day we had a small Independence Day bash at Grandma’s.  This included a cookout, pool time, fireworks, and too much dessert!

HAPPY FOURTH!
