Easter Weekend

Due to recovery from sickness and crazy work schedules (Jacob’s) our Easter weekend didn’t quite happen as planned, but we had some good times anyway.  We spent Saturday morning, which was also my birthday, at a church Easter celebration, then I did a little strawberry picking with Josiah while Jacob and Elijah caught up on sleep.  Easter Sunday was spent at a family get together where we met some new family members and caught up with old ones.

044 - CopyMr. Picky!  He is not a fan of new foods.  He has had goldfish once before and liked them ok, but lately he has been extra funny about his food.  He gave them a good try, then left them for Josiah to clean up.

084 - Copy 086 - CopyWe could hardly keep Josiah looking for eggs because he kept wanting to stop and eat every piece of candy in the plastic eggs.  Here he is with one hand getting an egg and one hand holding candy.

Elijah slept through the egg hunt.  He was wiped out!  Maybe next year, little man!

My cousin and I were laughing because we were remembering that in our egg hunting days we only hunted for real eggs, then we sat around eating hard boiled eggs just because it was supposed to be a treat.  All of our kids discard the real eggs and excitedly eat the candy from the plastic eggs!
