I Need Input!

1.  We are getting a bit bored with the music we have for Josiah and are in the market for some good kid’s praise music that we can enjoy, or at least tolerate, too.  Any suggestions?

2.  Josiah is beginning to show signs of being ready to potty train: telling us when he has gone, wanting to get on his potty when we go, things like that.  It is a bit farther in our future and I’m not holding my breath (though I am hopeful), but I’m beginning to think of what method I want to use when the time comes.  Any advice based on experience out there?

Also, I have a cool never-been-used bath toy that was given to us but won’t work in our tub.  Any kid would love it and I wish we could use it, but it needs a tub with a side that is about 5-6 inches wide and relatively flat to work.  It has suction cups to help it stay in place.  I don’t really know how to explain it, but it is free to a good home!

We've enjoyed the cedarmont kids dvd's and music (a little 80'ish) but Luke is mesmerized with it. Not sure if it would be as adult friendly as you are looking for.
Also, I'm about to take the potty training plunge and I'm toying with the idea of doing it like Jill did. On her blog she wrote that she just goes cold turkey. Not sure how she handles nights/naps.

I was going to tell you we watch the Cedarmont kids old dvds but Katie already mentioned it. =) They are what we watch anytime Sammy gets to watch a DVD, they are his all time fav and his main go to. They have CDs too. We have to FFWD the Father Abraham song though b/c it scares him. Now that I have said that you should know, they are WAY old.. like I mean the kids wear what we wore when we were little and they can get a touch annoying but again, keep in mind, I have heard them over a couple hundred times. =)
We got shout to the lord kids for the car and he likes that and I can handle it, it is prob my fav. He still likes his baby praise cds but those tend to wear on me a little too, but we've heard them since he was born.

Potty training I can tell you from someone who did both.. go cold turkey. We didn't do that at first and it dragged on and on. Don't go with pull ups, that just really messed our process up. It was a crutch. I let him just be naked and pee when we were at home and he learned quickly then out I would put pull up and he wouldn't go on potty. When I finally got brave enough to ditch the pull ups it was like in seriously 2 days it clicked. So for us anyway, cold turkey was key. I got great THICK training underpants online and they helped for going out b/c if he had accident he still felt wet and icky but I didn't have puddles to clean. I could just wipe him down, change him, bag up wet clothes and get on with life. I can give you the websites for those if you want.

Still can't go all night, we are working on that. Nap time we get through b/c wake him up an hour in, he pees on potty, then he goes back to sleep. Just to be clear, his teachers do that, not me. I can't even get him to nap at home any more, what does that say about me?? Yikes!

So great to catch up on your blog! I love your little fam and OH HOW I HAVE MISSED BLOGGING!
